Favorite Byron Katie Quotes:

When you argue with reality, you lose - but only 100% of the time.

There are only three kinds of business - mine, others', and God's. When you leave your own business, you suffer.

No one can hurt me - that's my job.

Would you rather be right or free?

Who cares if you're enlightened forever? Can you just get it in this moment, now?

If you want something to be different than it is, you might as well teach a cat to bark. You can try and try, and in the end the cat will look up at you and say, "Meow." Wanting something to be different than it is (in this moment) is hopeless.

Thoughts are just 'what is'. They appear. They're innocent. They're not personal. They're like the breeze or the leaves on the trees or the raindrops falling. Thoughts arise like that, and we can make friends with them. Would you argue with a raindrop?

Some basic principles of The Work of Byron Katie:

-Mental and emotional suffering, hurt, and pain that persist in life is the result of attaching to thoughts or concepts that oppose reality. (The Work is a way to inquire gently into those thoughts and see things as they actually are.)

-When you argue with reality, you lose. But only 100% of the time.

-There are three types of business in the universe - yours, mine, and God's. When you are in someone else's business, you suffer.

e·piph·a·ny (ĭ-pĭf'ə-nē): A sudden manifestation of the essence or meaning of something; A comprehension or perception of reality by means of a sudden intuitive realization.
